Children's MinistryWe have many wonderful ministries for children! Every Sunday morning, we have a children's worship time for ages three thru Kindergarten and Grades 1-5. We offer a delightful mid-week kids' club called Adventure Club, several children's summer camps, and, of course, a big Vacation Bible School for one week every year. We also have choirs for different age groups. Infant nursery is available at the 8:30 and 11:00 Sunday morning worship services. The nursery is staffed by a part-time employee of the church, who is a certified child-care worker. Kinderchapel (ages three through Kindergarten): After the Time with Children in the worship service, the children are dismissed to Kinderchapel (a 30-40 minute Children's Worship time). A Bible message is given at their age level and they sing songs, make crafts, and play games. It is a wonderful ministry that teaches children about Jesus and the Bible. Children's Worship (Grades 1-5): When the younger children are dismissed for Kinderchapel, the older ones are dismissed for Children's Worship. During this time, the children sing songs, pray, read Scripture, and are shown Bible stories in a way that they can understand. Sometimes they re-enact the story or do impromptu skits. Adventure Club (ages four through Fifth Grade): This ministry takes place on Wednesday evenings during the school year. Check the calendar for the exact days. During their time here, the children are divided into small groups for games, snacks, crafts, and Bible stories. They also have theme parties and do other cool activities throughout the year. This ministry is a BLAST, email the Director of Christian Education, Lexis Van Epps, for more information. Vacation Bible School (ages three thru Fifth Grade) takes place during the summer - week of games, crafts, snacks, music, skits, and awesome Bible lessons. It is so much fun the kids look forward to it every year. For dates and times of this year's VBS, check events. Children's Summer Camp (completed Third Grade thru Fifth Grade): There are several elementary camps throughout the summer along with a couple of sports camps. The camps take place at Crystal Springs, just outside Berrien Springs. For more information go to the camping link at West Michigan Conference.
